I am an Australian still life artist, with a preference for subtle, minimalist themes that soothe and captivate the viewer. Trained classically in oils in France, and in the U.S. at the Academy of Realist Art, I now work principally in pastel on paper, a lush, velvety medium which translates amazingly to museum quality limited edition giclee prints.
My work is about simplicity, subtlety, minimalism and the inherent beauty of objects. It is both realistic and atmospheric and is best placed on a white wall with lots of space.
Many of my sales have been to women in the banking and financial sector, who find the work calms them when they are in stress mode!
Other sales have been to collectors who have just the right wall space.
I now live in Mandurah, Western Australia and alternate my time between my art, editing (editing and helping the publication of memoirs is my specialty!), writing and spending time with my beautiful big dogs, Molly, a rottweiler, and Bobby, a golden retreiver. (I am pictured with my first rottweiler, Cassie, above). Mandurah is an amazing coastal town and area about an hour’s drive south of Perth. Every day, almost without fail, I see pods of dolphins and gorgeous sunsets. The beaches are clean and sparkling and the place is known for its surfing. There’s also great fishing in “the Cut” and the estuary. If ever you are down my way, please feel free to call around for a cup of coffee. (Just go to the contact page to arrange this).
Best wishes from
