Contemporary Art for Sale – Pastels on Acid Free, Museum Quality Paper – See Images Below!
The pastel paintings shown below are unframed, for ease of mailing anywhere in the world and to reduce costs to you. They are worked on acid free cotton rag paper, using the finest pastel pigments available. (My French instructor taught me never to settle for second best!)
I am selling the lower priced works direct from my studio now, without gallery commission added, so they are more accessible to buyers. My Giclee Prints (on the Prints Page) are the most accessible of all, price wise. (Many other artists buy my work, and price is certainly a consideration.)

This original pastel painting looks so lush and velvety and quietly dramatic in its simplicity in real life. The bowl represented was hand made by one of Australia’s leading contemporary ceramic artists, Kris Coad, whose work I collect. I am selling this work direct from my studio now, so please contact me.

This work features a collection of my favourite collectors items – the ceramics of Kris Coad and a piece by Peter Greenaway, plus a little handmade leather ball I was given during my many years of living in Spain. This works well in a frame with a white mat around it. As with most of my works, this pastel painting is best shown away from strongly colored works which might overwhelm it. Plenty of white wall space is good!

One night I was unable to sleep and decided to put a group of my favourite mugs and bottles on the coffee table, set up my easel with a night light and make a pastel painting. I finished at around 3 am and was very happy with the results when I reviewed the work the next day. I hope you will be, too.
